Work & projects I’ve done in the music industry.
TEN MILLION SOUNDS
Ten Million Sounds is a beat-focused, producer-driven record label I started in 2011. The label’s goal is two-fold: increase exposure for talented artists and do good for the world; 100% of album sales are donated to charity. Ten Million Sounds has collaborated with artists such as Ta-ku, Evil Needle, Vanilla, Freddie Joachim, Handbook, Aether, and bugseed, and many others. All releases can be found on Bandcamp and are sold on a name-your-price basis.
To date, Ten Million Sounds has successfully funded 8 cleft palate correction surgeries through Smile Train.
GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC
I’ve made playlists for Google Play Music since 2014, and previously for the same team at Songza from 2011-2014. My playlists cover a wide range of themes and genres, including Post-Apocalyptic Electronic Wasteland, Walking On Sunshine, Blissed-Out Beats, French-Hip Hop, and South African Roots.
XLR8R
During the summer of 2013 I wrote for the electronic music site XLR8R at their New York City office. As an editorial intern, I covered news stories and reviewed new tracks/videos—129 published articles in total. XLR8R has a social reach of over 185k Facebook fans and 120k Twitter followers.
